News - Change of parent club affiliation - July 12, 2018:

On behalf of the Oxford IPO club members, I would like to publicly thank the American Working Malinois Association - AWMA for having us as member club for the past 3 years.

Without a parent Belgian Shepherd organization in Canada enabling us to host IPO trials, our small local Belgian Shepherd IPO training club would not have been able to develop as it did, if it was not for the AWMA Board support.
Thanks to this affiliation with the AWMA since 2015, Oxford IPO hosted 4 club trials, in which club dogs have achieved 6 BH, 5 IPO 1, 4 IPO 2 and 5 IPO 3 titles.

With the recent emergence of the Canadian Working Dog Federation, and its BSD breed member club: the Canadian Working Belgian Shepherd Association (CWBSA - member FMBB), it is natural for Oxford IPO to change its parent affiliation from AWMA to CWBSA.

The first IPO trial that will be held by Oxford IPO under its new CWBSA affiliation, will take place on November 3-4, 2018, with Mr. Vincent Solare (France) as Judge, and with Mr. Tim Karchnak (USA) as AWMA Apprentice Judge.
Mr. Solare has judged a multitude of National and International events, such as the FMBB 2016 and 2018, AWMA Nationals 2016 and 2017, ATIBOX 2015 and 2018, IFR 2017 and has competed as a handler at 4 FCI Championships, 6 FMBB Championships, and multiple Nationals (sorry Vincent if I forgot some 🙄).

This trial will also serve, at the IPO 3 level, to complete the selection of the Canadian Team for the 2019 FMBB World Championship, for the remaining places that are not fulfilled by the current CWBSA point system. More information will soon be available on the CWBSA website (www.cwbsa.ca).

Once again, hearty thanks to you Anne Camper and all the volunteers from the AWMA Board and Committees, with the support of many more, for being an essential help in the making of the Oxford IPO adventure.
